Wiideojuegos (Competition Over)

WIIDEOJUEGOS 2011 is the second edition of an international programming competition financed by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and sponsored by Gametopia with the objective of designing and developing a video game on a PC (Windows or Linux) or Mac platform.  This year’s edition is divided into two categories. We are continuing to keep last year’s category of using the remote control of the Wii from Nintendo® (wiimote) through a bluetooth connection as the user interface, but we are also incorporating the category of using the KINECT device from Xbox®.
The most original and creative video games that use wiimote o KINECT as an interface will receive a prize, according to the category.
The teams of students interested must fill in the application form and present a video games proposal in accordance with the bases of the competition.
Students from the Escuela Universitaria de Informática (University School of Computer Science) that enroll in the subject of Computer Graphics with their participation in the competition will have the practical credits of this subject validated.
