Objetives

The Degree in Biotechnology aims to train professionals who will have the skills to:

  • Assess and discriminate the various molecular and cellular mechanisms responsible for the transformations that living beings undergo, and develop alternative, novel solutions to known and emerging biological problems.
  • Design and conduct experiments and/or applications independently, and describe, quantify, analyse and critically assess the findings.
  • Undertake biotech research (frontline technologies and strategies) with a view to their subsequent application.
  • Apply management methods and techniques both at a research and a company level (preparation and management of R&D&I projects).
  • Meet the demand of biotech companies and take up postgraduate studies in this area.
Specialisations The degree includes two itineraries that offer further intensification in Plant Biotechnology and Computational Biotechnology.
