Requirements and pre-enrollment procedure for official master's degrees

Note: If you made a pre-enrollment during the first period and wish to re-opt to the program, or to a different one, send an email to tramitacion.master.oficial(at)upm.es to modify it.

The pre-enrollment will be done in Helios platform, being able to request, in order of priority, up to three different master's degrees.

  • DNI, NIE, Passport o Identify card.
  • Curriculum Vitae.
  • The academic documentation to submit depends on the country of issuance of the university and the type of master's degree chosen (these are the University Master's Degrees of Annex I: Ingeniería Aeronáutica; Ingeniería Agronómica; Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos; Ingeniería de Minas; Ingeniería de Montes; Ingeniería Industrial; Ingeniería Naval y Oceánica; Ingeniería de Telecomunicación).
    Each program may have specific access requirements:
      
a) Students and Graduates of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM)
  1. Official Spanish University Degree or proof of having requested it (Letter of Payment) complying with the requirements established in the Access and Enrollment Regulations.
     

  2. Academic record of the access Degree, which shows the subjects and grades obtained. In this case, files obtained through Politécnica Virtual will be accepted.
     
  3. To apply for a University Master Degree of Annex I is essential to provide B2 Level Accreditation in English, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

    If you apply for the Máster Universitario en Formación del Profesorado, the required accreditation is level B1 in a foreign language.

 

b) Graduates of Spanish Universities
  1. Official Spanish University Degree or proof of having requested it.

  2. Academic record of the access Degree, which shows the subjects and grades obtained. This document must be issued, stamped and signed by the academic authorities of the university of origin (documents from web pages without academic validity will NOT be accepted).
     
  3. To apply for a University Master Degree of Annex I is essential to provide B2 Level Accreditation in English, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

    If you apply for the Máster Universitario en Formación del Profesorado, the required accreditation is level B1 in a foreign language.

 
c) Graduates of universities from countries of the European Higher Educacion Area (EHEA)
  1. Official University Degree or proof of having requested it duly translated if issued in a language different from the official ones in the UPM (Spanish and English).

  2. Official academic record of the access Degree, duly translated in case it is issued in a language different from the official ones in the UPM (Spanish and English), which shows the subjects and grades obtained. This document must be issued, stamped and signed by the academic authorities of the university of origin (documents from web pages without academic validity will NOT be accepted).

  3. To apply for a University Master Degree of Annex I:
     
 
d) Graduates from universities outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA)
  1. Official University Degree or proof of having requested it, duly translated if issued in a language different from the official ones in the UPM (Spanish and English).

  2. Official academic record of the access Degree, duly translated in case it is issued in a language different from the official ones in the UPM (Spanish and English), which shows the subjects and grades obtained. This document must be issued, stamped and signed by the academic authorities of the university of origin (documents from web pages without academic validity will NOT be accepted).
     
  3. To apply for a University Master Degree of Annex I:

    • NO: Must provide the university degree and the academic record duly legalized.

      Legalization is usually implemented through the Apostille de the Hague, here you can see the countries that signed the agreement. This procedure is carried out in the country of origin of the degree, through which the competent authorities certifying that is a valid title issued by the competent authority.
