The Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European institution has pointed out this postgraduate degree as a “success story”.
Promoting entrepreneurship and training experts in the management of sustainable touristic activities according to the preservation of natural resources and the international development cooperation. Those are the aims of the MSc Program in Management of Ecological and Sustainable Tourism a degree of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) which has just been elected by the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European institution has pointed out this postgraduate degree as a “success story”. It has also been marked as such in the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform.
The Erasmus+ Project Results Platform is a database where you can find descriptions and results of projects supported by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Program for Education, Training, Youth and Sport, as well as its predecessor programs.
"Success stories" are finalised projects that have distinguished themselves by their impact, contribution to policy-making, innovative results and/or creative approach and can be a source of inspiration for others. The choice of your project as a success story was made on the basis of a selection process according to rigorous criteria regarding the quality, relevance and results of your project.
With a total of 650 formative hours, the MSc Program in Management of Ecological and Sustainable Tourism is led by Paz Arraiza, professor of the Department of Forestry Engineering of the ETSI de Montes, Forestal y del Medio Natural of the UPM.
It is divided in 10 lessons and counts with the training participation of experts both for the enterprises and the University in tourism and natural resources management and in cooperation for development.
