In this paper a method to detect and segment mobile objects in real-time during a video-acquisition process is explained. The detection is carried out using an adaptive background subtraction algorithm. Meanwhile the segmentation stage is a recursive algorithm which extracts the moving regions of the different objects measuring the distance between moving points. Furthermore, a review of the current techniques on moving regions detection and their segmentation can be found. Moreover, some demonstrative results have been obtained and are shown in this paper. These demonstrate the introduced algorithm could be used in several kinds of scenes and applications. In addition it is fast, efficient as well as reaches the design goals. | |
