Alfhough many organizafions are !I1ofivafed fo improve fheir sofiware processes, very few know how best fo do so. As a resulf, most improvement efforts fail, sfakeholders feel frusfrated, organizations are more convinced than ever fhat they must confinue doing fheir work as before and fhe resistance to change in sofiware process improvement increases. The main problem is the difficu!ty that an organization faces when adapling the selected process improvement model to their current scenario. This paper presents an experience of using a method thal aIIows lo establish a multi-model environment as a relerence in order to implement a successful sojiware process improvement in the organizafion 's projecl managemenf process.
