In this communication we study the nodal pattern of the eigenfunctions and the correlation diagram of eigenenergies versus Planck's constant for the Henon-Heiles system. This Hamiltonian system has a C3v symmetry, with two one-dimensional irreducible representations (A1 and A2) and one two-dimensional representation (E). The principal result that we have obtained is that as Planck's constant (or the eigenenergy) increases, and before any avoided crossing, irregular nodal patterns and scarred eigenfunctions can be observed for the degenerate eigenstates E. That is, we have encountered the transition order-chaos before any avoided crossing appears, by means of the degenerate eigenstates E. | |
