| In this work we review the properties of lossy light bullets (LLBs). They constitute a novel family of localized light wave packets in homogeneous, isotropic, nonlinear media, whose non-spreading propagation is supported by a dynamic balance between self-focusing and nonlinear absorption, and whose properties differ substantially from those of the well-known families of solitary, conical and dissipative light bullets. | |
