This paper aims to study the relationship between the average technical effi-ciency and the technologies 2.0 incorporated into the business strategy. An empirical analysis of a selection of firms of the Spanish Telecommunications Sector was made. This analysis was con-ducted using a nonparametric technique, data envelopment analysis (DEA), incorporating as inputs and outputs, several indicators of firms? activity in ?social media?. Results show that the incorpo-ration of this technology improves the average efficiency of companies. Unless the characteristics of the most efficient firms could not be identified, these results outlook the different capacities of organizations to absorb and integrate new technologies into their business strategy | |
