| Use of mobile phones is increasingly popular nowadays. But not all the people can access and use a mobile phone, due to the lack of accessibility present at operating system level. This paper presents how accessibility should be taken into account from the developer?s perspective in order to fulfil the final user needs. With the aim to enhance accessibility and bring it closer to the development, a developer tool has been created to support developers to create accessible mobile applications in Android. This designer toolkit improves the Android OS accessibility thanks to a simple and innovative mechanism that allows developers to label and link components, providing the final users with an accessible navigation.
