Descripción
In this research is addressed the subject of urban soundscapes by analyzing twelve open public spaces of City of Córdoba (Argentina), chosen as case studies, seeking to define and interrelate objective indicators that characterize the soundscape and its relation to landscape physical components. The first stage the investigation aims to deepen the study of the variables that influence not only in the acoustic perception of outdoor spaces, but also in the types of sound sources and the level of acceptance that those have in users. The study was conducted through surveys and objective measurements, designed both to recognize soundscapes, which semantic content might be important for the identity of the inhabitants, and to identify sound sources involved. When it comes to defining the quality of a soundscape, the cross-analysis process performed between objective and subjective data allowed us to identify acoustic descriptors that might be linked with the users? response. In parallel with noise level measurements, audio recordings of the intervals were also recorded, from which subsequent processing we were able to deduce psychoacoustic parameters that complement the acoustic descriptors aforementioned. Together they are used to describe objectively the sound quality of urban spaces. In the process we selected those descriptors that are evidenced as significant and possessors of a high correlation with the level of quality of the soundscape. The ones adopted in this work are loudness, sharpness, the LCeq-LAeq relation and the L10-L90 difference. Each one of the parameters describes or reflects a characteristic aspect of a high quality, or 'hi-fi', sound environment, as the possible presence of sounds with semantic content (sharpness), the presence or absence of low frequencies and, finally, the relation between figure and background of noise scenarios. In the research is shown that although there is a correlation of these indicators with the sound quality of the spaces, it is not linear. On the contrary, its importance or relative influence depends on the interrelationships between the parameters studied, being evidenced the difficulty of applying an analysis methodology based on classical logic. As an alternative, it has been applied a model of analysis and correlation of sound quality parameters based on the principles of fuzzy logic, noting that it is achieved a very tight approximation to the subjective response of the inhabitants. This adjustment, reached between the model results and the subjective response of the users, allows us to confirm the fuzzy model as an effective tool for the study, not only of soundscapes, but also for those situations where objective parameters need to be related to subjective responses.
