Nowadays, there is an increasing demand for portable systems that carry out surveillance functions in hostile environments. The objetive is to develop a lightweight and small radar system working in W-band that accomplishes surveillance tasks. In this paper, the integration of the different modules of the radar system at 77 GHz and the implemented signal and data processing are presented. Given the coherent architecture of the developed radar sensor, the implemented detection algorithm is based on Doppler frequency. Besides, the data processing carries out a clustering of detections and a target tracking in order to generate alarms for possible collision trajectories. Satisfactory results, such as tracking a car in motion beyond 500 meters away, have been obtained in tests. | |
