Global consumption continues to grow despite the economic crisis assuming the role of the development of peoples. This growth, based on exorbitant consumerism rather than responsible consumerism, it is not the same for everyone, because the effects are pernicious in the poorest countries. Committed consumers, must take responsibility and choose to consume and use products produced under the right conditions fairness, equity and solidarity towards developing countries in order to achieve a more equal and fairer world. From February-April 2011, we conducted an online survey for was to establish a set of criteria, to have a greater understanding, and to strengthen the Fair Trade movement in Spanish society and the greater promotion and consumption of their products. As a result we can conclude firstly that the more knowledge society has of the movement and of its objectives, the closer they feel to Fair trade, thus they are more likely to buy the products. Secondly, the main reason to buy is solidarity, commitment and responsibility towards the purpose of a movement. | |
