Abstract
In this work, the global stability analysis has been used to predict the onset of flow instabilities. Two steps are required to complete the analysis. First, a steady so- lution of the compressible Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations at moderately-high Reynolds numbers in the presence of shock wave is obtained. Second, a large generalized eigenvalue problem based on the Jacobian of the mentioned base flow is solved.
