Surveying and mapping material properties is crucial to understand how decay processes are acting and a necessary step before planning any restoration of heritage structures. When several techniques are used in combination, it is desirable to be able to make risk maps with combined information from all available techniques to focus restoration interventions to the most endangered areas. This paper presents two case studies of the use of photogrammetry (Photomodeler Scanner) for the 3D modeling of heritage properties and their integration with different types of Non Destructive Techniques in a GIS (ArcGIS). This kind of 3D GIS allows not only image overlap but graphical statistic analysis obtaining, in this way, a single high-accuracy model which allows the analysis of documented information. | |
