Abstract
Good connectivity to the high-speed rail (HSR) network is a crucial added value in urban agglomerations (Garmendia et al. 2011; Guirao and Campa 2014; Ureña et al. 2009). This applies not only to locations with an HSR station, but also to nearby locations with good access to the HSR network. Extensive research has examined the changes in spatial organization that occur in areas near HSR stations and their surroundings as the land use system seeks to take advantage of the enhanced connectivity to the network (Monzón et al. 2013b; Ureña et al. 2009).
