| The 20th edition of the International Conferen ce on Reliable Software Technologies (Ada-Europe 2015) took place in the city of Ma drid, 26 years after the successful con-ference Ada: The Design Choice , which marked the start of Ada-Europe as an international organization. This was the fourth time that the conference was hosted in Spain, after Santander in 1999, Palma de Mallorca in 2004, and Valencia in 2010. Previous editions of the conference were held in France (Toulouse, 2003, Brest, 2009, and Paris, 2014), the UK (London, 1997, York, 2005, and Edinburgh, 2011), Switzerland (Mon-treux, 1996, and Geneva, 2007), Sweden (Uppsala, 1998, and Stockholm 2012), Ger-many (Potsdam, 2000, and Berlin, 2013), Belgium (Leuven, 2001), Austria (Vienna, 2002), Portugal (Porto, 2006), and Italy (Venice, 2008). The conference series is run and sponsored by Ada-Europe, in collaboration with local organizations. This year Ada-Spain led the organizing team, with the support of the hosting institution, ETSIT-UPM, a top-rank engineering school in information and communications technology at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. This was a very appropriate choice as ETSIT-UPM celebrated the 50th anniversary of its current location in Madrid, with a wide range of special events, including the Ada-Europe conference among the most prominent ones. | |
