In this work, an expression of a mutual coupling compensation matrix in the transmitting-array problem will be computed by means of an integral LSE approach, so that it will be valid for all the space directions. This approach was used in our previous work [3], but this work was based on the expansion of the fields of each individual antenna in spherical vector waves and the mutual coupling of spherical waves, and here, active element patterns and isolated element patterns are used to find the mutual coupling compensation matrix. This way, it can be used with any kind of array and it can include the antenna platform. An advantage of this method is that it does not require an specific full-wave analysis method and any commercial software can be used. Through this method, which is completely general, it can be shown the limitation of the compensation capabilities as far as the array element is no longer a monomode antenna. | |
