| Non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) determines the status of electrical loads inside residential buildings from measurements made at the utility service entry. In this paper, we propose the novel event detection method for nonintrusive load monitoring systems based on the capabilities of current smart meters. The experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed procedure with respect to the small non-linear loads. | |
