The project related to this Sabbatical proposed to integrate the architectures that have been already designed at UPM for circuit monitoring into biomedical devices and to develop new structures especially dealing with biological issues. The main objectives are to: ? Design ultra-low power blocks for the sensing part of biomedical devices. ? Integrate multiuse sensors that can monitor performance, degradation, temperature or power consumption as the circuit ages. This information may be critical in some biomedical applications (implants). ? Design of VDD sensors to measure power supply unpredictable fluctuations that jeopardize the functioning of current electronic systems. Power voltage, VDD, instabilities are most likely to appear in mobile or portable systems that realize ubiquitous computing, where a battery or harvester is a need. ? Analyze new architectures for biomedical circuits. | |
