Abstract
The nature of numerical error is explained at the beginning of the chapter by separating it into local truncation and round-off error components. Advanced orbit propagation methods that based on regularizing and linearizing the equations of motion are described. One of these methods, based on regularized equations of motion for non-classical orbital elements, is applied to an analytical application for purposes of collision avoidance.
