Abstract
In the last decade, biodegradable polymers applications have resulted a great increase in the use of these materials, specially PLA in packaging and containers field. This has generated an increase of this material in the PET recycling streams, obtaining as consequence a material of lower qualities. The objective of the research work is to conclude the influence of PLA inclusion in the mixtures with recycled PET. Tests have shown that the addition of small amounts of PLA in the stream of post-consumer PET, results in deterioration of the properties of PET.
