Different playbacks have been proposed to synthesize the dynamical information of the vocal folds. However most of them rely on the delineation of the glottal gap using segmentation techniques which is not a trivial task. In order to avoid this problem, a new playback based on the optical flow computation is proposed, called Optical Flow Glottovibrogram. The reliability of the proposed playback is evaluated by comparing it with the well known glottovibrogram. The results show a great correlation in shape among both representations. Although the new playback is blurred in comparison to the glottovibrogram, it allows to identify the most important instants of time, such as closedstated and maximal opening. The major advantage of the method is that tackles the problem of glottal segmentation and glottal axis detection. It also provides complementary information to the common spatio-temporal representations. However, some limitations need to be addressed in future works such as its tolerance to large tilts and the inward-outward shifts | |
