Abstract
The negative impact on human health of nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions has been widely demonstrated and the improvement of air quality in Europan cities is a policy priority. Diesel emissions from road traffic are the main source of NOx pollutants and reduction of NOx is therefore one of the main objectives of the European car manufacturers.
