| Esta investigación pretende huir del concepto de ?leve? entendido como ?de poco peso?, planteando una primera hipótesis: la levedad en arquitectura no depende de la reducción de su masa en términos absolutos. Términos relacionados con la precisión como destilar, determinar o especificar, nos ayudan a alcanzar la cualidad de leve. Es por ello que, la segunda hipótesis sobre la que se trabaja, plantea la existencia de una levedad estrechamente ligada a la precisión, incidiendo en el tiempo como un parámetro relevante en la relación entre ambos conceptos. La precisión de la mano del artesano o de los proyectos que se construían sin planos ?únicamente basados en las relaciones entre elementos definidores de su arquitectura- o el uso de la junta seca - donde todas las piezas se definen previa puesta en obra-, así como el respeto por la tradición y el paisaje, son ideas que se entremezclan y evocan las arquitecturas suiza y japonesa. Con un extremo cuidado por entender sus antecedentes, proyectos de arquitectura de los últimos 50 años de ambos países sirven de fuente de análisis y reflexión sobre posibles estrategias de acercamiento a la levedad desde la precisión. La tercera hipótesis y objetivo prioritario de la Tesis es la búsqueda de estrategias proyectuales que permitan ?aligerar? la arquitectura. Estas estrategias deberían poder ser leídas y aplicadas desde los diversos campos de acción a disposición de la disciplina arquitectónica. ABSTRACT This research aims to avoid the concept of ?light? understood as ?lightweight?, raising a first hypothesis: lightness in architecture does not depend on its mass reduction. Terms related to precision such as distillation, determine or specify, help us to achieve the quality of light. For this reason, the second hypothesis on which we work, posits the existence of a lightness closely linked to accuracy and precision, focusing on time as an important parameter in the relationship between the two. The accuracy of the craftsman?s hand or projects that were built without plans ?only based on the relations between the architectural defining elements- or the use of dry joints ? where parts are defined prior work starts- and the respect for tradition and landscape, are ideas that intermingle and evoke Swiss and Japanese architectures. Architectural projects of the past 50 years in both countries act as a source of analysis and reflection on possible strategies for approaching lightness by means of precision. The third hypothesis and main objective of the thesis is the search for design strategies that allow subtracting weight in the realm of architecture. Such strategies should be able to be read and applied from the various fields of action available to the discipline of architecture. | |
