With the term threshold domesticity we describe a series of minor compositions of the in between, there where the city leaks into the house and the domestic infiltrates the urban; it is not just social practices unfolding in an architectural scenario, but an spatial organization emerging from different material realities at play, from the flesh of a sleeping body to the stone of a window sill. These spaces demand from us to see the city as a continuous fabric of differential intensities rather than a patchwork of enclosed categories (private/public, house/city, inside/outside, enclosed/open?). | |
