Abstract
The current Air Traffic Management (ATM) functional approach is changing. SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) supports the four dimension (4D) trajectory implementation within its operational concept, in order to improve efficiency, reliability, sustainability and costeffectiveness of aircraft operations. Apart from the three classical spatial dimensions, ?time? is now integrated as an additional fourth dimension, which will restrict aircraft flights over indicated waypoints along the trajectory. This is in line with the Trajectory Based Operations (TBO) concept, which will require aircraft to follow an assigned 4D-trajectory (time-constrained trajectory) with high precision.
