| Nowadays, an increasing evidence suggests that molecules carried by allergens could be implicated in the develop- ment of allergy. The lipid transfer proteins (LTPs) family includes a large number of allergens from different sources. LTPs are basic pro- teins of about 9 kDa with a conserved structure made of four a- helices that presents a characteristic tunnel-like cavity capable of binding lipophilic molecules. This work focuses on Pru p 3, a plant LTP and major allergen from peach. | |
