This research analyzes the feasibility of recycling fibers from mineral wool from construction and demolition waste, by incorporating them into a cement mortar matrix. The aim will be to find a new more sustainable cement mortar with improved mechanical and thermal properties. The experimental procedure starts with a preliminary study on the viability of the residue for its incorporation into a matrix of cement mortar by its physical-chemical characterization; All the series have been subjected to the mechanical tests of Shore D hardness, flexure and compression, and finally their thermal conductivity has also been obtained. It is verified that the incorporation of mineral residues to a cement mortar matrix wool is a viable alternative for recycling; the new compounds analyzed maintain adequate mechanical properties for use also producing improved thermal properties. | |
