Abstract
This work presents how the finite element methodology has been applied to analyze the mechanical behaviour of PLA parts obtained by fused deposition with a 3D printer. Three different patterns of printed layers have been studied searching for the most accurate way to model the actual response of PLA parts in a torsion test
