| When a concrete structure is built, the availability of all the information on its design and construction phases is crucial during the structure?s lifetime. In addition, storing information pertaining to the quality of the concrete is mandatory if the contractor is to meet ISO 9000 and the ISO 14000 standards. All these heterogeneous pieces of information are often stored in different systems and remote locations. This makes the gathering of all relevant information a hard and difficult task. Storing all this information in the pieces themselves would hence enable authorized personnel to obtain all this information in-situ. | |
