Protein2Food aims to develop innovative, cost effective and resource-efficient plants proteins, with positive environmental and social impacts. Further, it intends to improve the quality of European produced plant proteins and the sustainability of their production, whilst enhancing the quality and quantity of protein within specific crops. Protein2Food approaches these aims through a multi-disciplinary approach including genetic, agronomic, socio-economic and environmental assessment. Protein2Food is a recently initiated, and on-going project, therefore there are currently no results presently available. However, the project should lead to the development of adapted plant protein sources with positive impact on the environment, biodiversity, and human life.
