One of the most important factors in the evolution of the construction sector is the development and study of the properties of materials. There is a growing tendency to use waste incorporated in so-called "traditional" materials to reduce the use of natural resources, minimize the millions of tons of waste generated in all areas and look for forms of passive conditioning. The compounds obtained have values of bending and compression beyond the regulation and, some of them, with a considerable decrease in the termal conductivity rate in comparison with the reference compound. The addition of plastic waste from cables in gypsum matrices is considered a good possibility to contribute to sustainable construction with which to reduce, up to 30%, the use of natural resources (water and gypsum rock), to minimize the amount of plastic waste from cables up to 100% and get a product that improves the thermal envelope in buildings. | |
