We report on the nonlinear propagation of the recently introduced "time-diffracting beams", or diffraction-free pulsed beams whose natural diffraction spreading is swapped from the longitudinal propagation direction to time. In self-focusing Kerr media, these beams are numerically and analytically seen to be attracted by "time-self-focusing" or "time-collapsing" (depending on the input power), propagation-invariant, pulsed beams, which constitute a novel type of spatiotemporal wave localization. | |
