Abstract
It is estimated that by 2050 more than 6 billion people will live in cities. This urban growth Will represent a very high pressure on the availability of natural resources such as water, food and energy. Together with climate change, this will increase the risks of floods, droughts, sea level rise, pollution and heat waves.
