Trains, automobiles, aircrafts and vehicles in general are among the most challenging scenarios for the deployment of 5G networks. The high-density of people, the speed and the hostile environment are three examples of this arduousness. Moreover, communication technologies now in operation like LTE and many others are unable to meet the 5G?s needs of throughput, ultrahigh density of devices and very low latencies. In this paper we provide the results of a measurements campaign carried out inside a subway train car in the 26.5-40 GHz band. The results of this measurement campaign consist on path-loss, ranging and the Power-Delay Profile (PDP) results that will be helpful for the technology assessment of 5G technologies suitable for vehicular environments. | |
