| Recently we have deployed a metropolitan area quantum network in Madrid. It is designed to show the technological maturity of QKD in field deployments using existing infrastructure. To achieve the convergence of quantum and classical communications in the same infrastructure, we have used new network technologies and specifically designed QKD equipment. To show how close to real use cases we can go, the network was installed in production facilities and following the standard procedures for telecom equipment. Here we present a short overview of the Madrid QKD Network. | |
