| A series of experiments have been carried out to study the flow and the fluid loading on rigid plates towed near the water free surface. The experiments explore the effect of the free surface on the loads as well as the consequences of adding porosity near the edges. Three-dimensional numerical simulations of the same phenomena have been used to complement the experimental results. | |
