| We present a project by the Spanish engineer Eduardo Torroja as a result of his research into defining the appropriate form of a shell structure. Several prefabricated 40 mm thick reinforced concrete elements with the appropriate shape were made to be able to bear 10 kN\m2. The solution obtained is the latest example of research initiated in the late nineteenth century, in which Torroja took up a solution already suggested in 1902 by his teacher Juan Manuel Zafra. | |
