| This work shows the design of a ¿Chilean voices database¿ by means of a telephonic interface for subsequent linguistics researches and applications in acoustic and speech technologies. This database has voices of 384 different speakers from Chile, and too contains valuable phonetics information. The objective is turn into the first national database in order to foster the acoustic phonetics development in field like prosody studies (intonation), to characterize and to customize the country voices to help for research development, optimization and/or software design of electric and electronic devices automatic control, voices recognition, pathology studies, voice normal emission, etc. In the accomplishment of this data base took part and multidisciplinary staff formed by acoustic engineers, audiologists, and sound engineers, because the field covered by the acoustic phonetics require knowledge in different disciplines, The methodology and the measure chain that allow execute the sound record were designed, and the instructions for the people¿s record was made. This must have phonetic information in agreement with the future analysis to be carried out. | |
