| The paper presents several properties of cold rolled AA6061-T4 alloy after Friction Stir Processing, FSP, a derivative from Friction Stir Welding, FSW. The ¿cold working¿ conditions were used and the investigation aimed the material characterisation through microhardness and residual stresses analysis. It was found that by FSP of AA6061-T4 produces the material effective surface modification characterized by material softening and compressive residual stresses, improving the fatigue resistance. | |
