| The research group Agricultural Systems (AgSystems) of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid has developed software that allows the simulation of the daily growth of grass and oaks in an agroforestry system. This program simulates the soil and weather effect on the production of grass and acorns in open parkland (dehesa). Also It determines the stocking rate (dry cattle or sheep) and the potential stock of pigs that can be fed with acorn. The objective of the program is to know the optimal stoking rate in the dehesa. | |
