| An increasing amount of elderly people is actually under high risk of loneliness and inactivity. Main causes are life expectancy growth, age-related limitation in autonomy capabilities and independent lifestyle of western cultures. In order to change this tendency, technology may provide a valuable platform for pushing themselves to maintain a healthy physical and mental condition. This abstract describes T-CUIDA, a collaborative research project, partially funded by the Spanish Government, aiming at the implementation and evaluation of a digital TV based application for promoting active elderly in their everyday environment. | |
