Some inhomogeneity in the steel composition is found in part of the samples. It is not clear what causes the inhomogeneous steel composition. In the sample annealed at 500°C for 100 h a correlation between the H distribution and the Si or Y distribution is found. Hydrogen out-diffuses from the ODS steel even at temperatures as low as 300°C. Further research is needed to study the influence of other light elements like He and d on the diffusion and/or retention of H. | |
