Abstract
Parasite infection has a negative impact on host fitness. Hence, hosts have developed a variety of defence strategies against parasites. We have approachedb the analysdis of plant tolerance to virus infection using the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana and the RNA virus Cucucmber mosaic virus (CMV): CMV frequently infects wild A. thaliana populations, so that we can hypothesize that this is a co-evolved host-parasite system.
