| The 6th Spanish Conference on Electron Devices (6th CDE) was held in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Madrid, (Spain) from January 31st to February 2nd, 2007. The Conference was hosted at the Euroforum Infantes under the auspices of the Instituto de Energía Solar ¿ Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (IES-UPM). The authorities who opened the conference (see Figure 1) were Prof. Javier Uceda (Chancellor of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), Prof. Antonio Luque (Director of the Instituto de Energía Solar of the Technical University of Madrid) and Prof. Carlos Algora (Chairman of the Conference). This time the subjects of interest were distributed into the following categories (the number of presented contributions is included between brackets): Horizontal Areas: Topic 1: Materials, technology and process simulation (14). Topic 2: Device modelling and simulation (24) Topic 3: Characterization and reliability (11). Vertical Areas: Topic 4: Sensors, actuators, microsystems and MEMS (26). Topic 5: Photovoltaic and optoelectronic devices and displays (28) Topic 6: Micro and nanodevices (7). Topic 7: RF, microwave and power devices (5) The conference was distributed into oral and poster presentations. A total 5 invited talks and 23 oral presentations were scheduled between Wednesday and Friday. 92 poster presentations were allocated between Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. | |
