Relativistic electrons are generated from the interaction of high intensity laser pulse with a plasma. The interaction of a laser pulse with solid targets is typically characterized by pre-plasma formation before the peak of the pulse reaches the target. Although such a pre-plasma is a reason for enhanced electron generation providing a plethora of possible mechanisms for electron acceleration [1], the real mechanisms governing laser light conversion into energetic relativistic electrons is still unknown. In this work, a simple kinetic-fluid model is derived [2] with the guide of some PIC simulations results [3 ]. | |
