Abstract
FluidReflex is a novel concentrator concept that is being developed at the IES-UPM. This new CPV technology has been designed to achieve a low cost CPV system over 1000X by using reflective optics and a fluid dielectric. Heat generated at the cell is dissipated by convection in the fluid, eliminating the need for additional cooling elements and significantly improving electrical insulation in the module. In addition, this fluid provides refractive index adaptation that increases attainable concentration and improves the theoretical optical efficiency.
