| In the recent years, a great effort has been made in the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering in the development and implementation of the Particle Finite Element Method [1]. As a result, its application to a wide number of engineering problems is possible, such as fluid dynamics, fluid-structure-interaction and erosion, among others. CIMNE-Madrid group focuses in research in the field of dam safety, and has used PFEM for this purpose. | |
