A Computational Fluid Dynamics Software (CFD) is a tool that uses numerical methods and algorithms to solve the fundamental equations of conservation of mass, energy and momentum for a given geometry. It is used to study and analyze problems in which fluids are involved. Currently, there are at least a total of 92 programs of both free and commercial codes. This paper shows a market research of existing CFD software in order to choose the most suitable for a thermofluid analysis and airflow pattern in a traditional underground building. The methodology followed in this paper is developed in three steps: literature search, questionnaires survey to experts and interviews with several companies. | |
